went to watch scary movie 3 with zp today... haha, was darn funny. laughed till i was breathless... its not scary anymore cuz it has so many spoofs and its just the absurd to be scary anymore... FOS, but damn, it makes u laugh... :)

met jane, michelle and sx at orchard... michelle, as usual, trying to scare me... twice somemore... once at kino, and another time at taka... :rolleyes:

walked around looking at stuff... we both need to buy presents - sad i'm so broke. my atm account has what, 20 bucks? always am at this time of the year, with all the shopping i need to do, presents to buy. why do all my friends have bdays in the beginning of the year? :P haha... zp and sx sure made the day happy and entertaining... never a dull moment with them around... thanks a lot... :)

was quite successful in saving money today though, didn't spend much, so proud of myself... :)

oh, and i realised a smile can do wonders... get u discounts and better service and sometimes, even mistaken free stuff... so smile more pple, it really works! ;)

dunno why, recently have been v self conscious... what's with the stares man? i feel like a bloody pariah...

ok, its cleared up i guess... think maybe i was a little too harsh.. should be calmmer next time...

hmmm, my command of english sucks, need to be assiduous and work on it...

hmmph, quite annoyed w someone now... but feel better after lashing out at her a little... tt's not rite is it? but well, i things tt hadn't been cleared up have to be... they still aren't, and opinions of mine are changing rapidly. wonder why it can be so hard to see eye to eye sometimes, am I asinine or are they just daft? and they all have to be so emotional... hey, u dun have to take everything as a personal afront...

whatever...

tennis lessons after like a months break was fun... damn, it was good to feel so shagged again. realized i love running after balls and hitting them from seeminly impossible angles for winners... :) heck, i love tennis! its the sport i enjoy the most, requires so much concentration, mental strength, fitness and smarts. i love everything abt it... shall not bother writing or u could be looking at an essay man... :)

wee, just got home... quite a fun day... :) oh, watched ttt with my sis yesterday, yeah, think its the one i like the least among the 3... still quite nice though...

wondering if scary movie 3 is tt good... everyone who has watched it said it's good, and more pple asked me out to watch it then ROTK... hmmm... so i bought tix today for tmr's show... it better be good cuz i'm hyped up... :P

so i met chi today, then went $45 poorer cuz i had to return him $$... was good to see him after such a long time... walked round a bit, went to eat at Yuki... was ok... u had to cook yrself kinda buffet thing? soup we made was nice... but well, let's just say i've got a lot to learn when it comes to cooking k? *really embarassed* but we ate and chatted for quite long... then walked somemore, went HMV to listen to music!! then had this sudden urge to listen to stevie wonder... checked out the section, his greatest hits collection was $63. determined tt it would be cheaper elsewhere, went to sembawang... it was $25... hmms... Its called The Definitive Collection... and i'm sure it is... :)

met lotsa pple at orchard today... huishan, wp, mama, bree, n claire (saw the last 2), ming quan... everyone trying to spend their last few days there b4 the grind of school begins rite? ;)

anyway, am sadly v broke now... someone gimme $$? pls? ;) whoever owes me money, and i might have forgotten, now's a good time to pay, new years coming, must pay off yr debts!!

strange... i seem to have a great affinity for black now adays. today everything i was wearing was black, my phone pouch, my wallet... at least my black phone cover is no more... turned blue... ;) but black, hey its a nice color, just a tad too hot in this weather...

okie, gotta log on to change weixin's name... went out w parents... finally got my contacts fixed. they are so much better now!! the optician was so much more professional, doing lots and lots of tests on my eyes and fitting, took more than an hour. so this pair, has higher water content. my degree sadly is like 100 higher on the left side. bah.

and got my levi's at 20% off... yay! discount at all outlets... :)
oh, did i mention my mouse is strangely - functioning again?! yay... :D

wee!! so fun, watched lilo and stitch on disney channel yesterday... just love tt channel... and its such a nice movie... :D after tt, cousin lent me fotr and ttt, so watch fotr again with my sister... wish i have a larger tv though... haha. was nice watching it again cuz i had kinda forgotten lots of it, i mean 3 years ago? haha, realised i watched all 3 of them on the opening day. found many lines familiar now, and i maintain my fav is ROTK...

today, went to yh's place for tennis! haha, went early, so stayed at his house for a while, cuz was drizzling. it stopped, so we went to play, then the ever capricious weather decided tt it would drizzle again. so went to the lounge for a while, came up, and it stopped. was kinda wet, but somehow the humidity was low and the court dried kinda fast... :)

cm came at last, and we played. was so happy my forehand decided to click again. was so happy after many dismal sessions where my forehand was flew miles out. played a match against yh, was close but pulled out a victory, was behind in the second set... then cm... tt was really a good match... was so proud to have played in it, many memorable pts. well, maybe its just tt we've not had a match of tt quality in sometime. we split the first 2 sets, shouldn't have lost the first, but faltered when it was crucial... was v close 11-9. second set was less tight, came back from behind to take it 10-6. final set was close, until this v v long point, maybe 20+ strokes? yeah, then just kinda broken after tt, mentally exhausted, after losing tt point and lost the match. sighs... need to work on this... :S

haha, then had lunch at pasta mania! e guy gave me a free calendar though i wasn't supposed to get one... ;) oops... then went ard looking at phones 4 yh... haha, he decided to switch to starhub. hmmm, was gonna get him e phone 4 his birthday, but he seemed to think its not meaningful cuz its not a surprise n cuz not much effort spent... is tt rite? :P yeah... shall rethink then... gotta save up!! still got so many pressies to buy. so happy though, found this offer at seiyu - 20% off! wow, the levis jeans i want is finally affordable... and somehow, the base price of levis is cheaper than in thailand or aus... :P

gotta do sth abt my eyes, they are failing me... am i going blind?! pls no... its one of my worse nightmares... :(

hey guys, am back... after 2 depressing posts, have got my shit today... feeling so much better. :) haha, thanks zp for entertaining me with yr crap, oh, also got to chat with some pple i've not talked to in some time - amand, weili... haha, and yuan (!!)... so yups, kinda happy... and thanks nick, thanks for showing much concern even though u are thousands of miles away... thanks a lot...

anyway, was damn sleepy in the morning, slept so late and had to rush to school early for fencing competition. helped to score keep and time keep, thot i wun be fencing, but suddenly, one team only had albert... oops, so ming quan and i joined in for a team of 3... well, just our luck we had to fence Imran's team. man, i've a whole lot of respect 4 tt guy. last time during team comp, fenced him too, he's just so good, he sees all the areas tt are open and pokes them in the most amazing and incredulous fashion. he leaves u in awe, and u know, u dun trip even when ya lose to him cuz he is nice and humble... u just accept tt he is better and aspire to learn. well, at least tt's for me. second time losing to his team... well, i felt i should of fenced better against some of the others though... rusty? hopefully. must train harder next year.

and it was just hilarious tt one team, they didn't have enough bling bling to pay up, had to go home to take more?! geez, can't they borrow. being a treasurer is so... exhausting. damn, if only i get commission. well, at least i found the few hundred i thot i lost... ;)

yeah, think the comp was not tt well organized... feel bad abt it... should've done more... shall go do some accounts now... ;) and darn, need to do so much hw, haven't touched nothing... :S

and who's going to which countdown party? msg me... i'm confused, dunno which i should go, or if i should just sleep... ;) last option is ever so... enticing... :D

hmmm, sucks. not gonna be taking part in the fencing comp organized by our school tmr. i do wanna actually... think will have a better chance of winning a match than next year and it would also be good preparation seeing that we've not competed in ages. whatever la... at least got somethings to look forward to in the next week.

but... it seems like everyday is filled with so many ups and downs. i really dunno where i'm going next. kinda like this whole year... dun think i can take much more. everytime there's an up, there's a down. maybe its just me... bah, whatever... maybe one day, i'll become cold hearted and numbed to everything around me.

am back... sighs, this christmas... wasn't v good. got all the materialistic things, but hey, it just doesn't feel rite when part of yr heart is missing. there's just something missing, and, i just feel sudden pangs of sorrow... it doesn't feel like christmas

Day 1

hmmm, shall abbreviate my posts cuz i anticipate the lack of net connection for days.

bought my new watch at the airport before flying off, think it looks real good... :) its cheaper, no tax! flight was delayed again... some wing problem. well, glad they spotted it, or else, who knows what woulda happened. boring flight, at least not airsick cuz its not SIA, so no overwhelming sterile stench. interesting tour group, there are really nosy children around... god. then got this mum who loves to holler at her poor children and this old grandma who is... very slow. went to Dreamland, some theme park, thot tt the rides sucked... better than singapore, but tt's saying nothing. but there were lots of yummy and cheap food there, pigged out. :$

played this carnival game where u had to throw balls at cans and make them fall, was really hard, and the guy was very nice, helped me topple some cans and even gave me extra balls... but still didn't win anything. whoops... was better at throwing darts... but didn't win cuz u had to throw five in a row, only made 4... :( left after 2.5 hours... was supposed to go to a temple, but no one was interested, so we went for dinner instead. it was really sumptous, gosh, there were like 8 dishes? like wedding dinners... and every dish was great... food here is just dirt cheap. too bad it was chinese food, didn't getta sample local cuisine. oh yeah, the road network seems better than s'pore, with highways everywhere, train and soon to be subways, but traffic is bad. congestion, causing severe air pollution. Interesting there are so many Nike shops around... and they are mostly shared with adidas?!!

yups, so am at the hotel now, its not bad... uncle might be visiting us later... :P going pattaya tmr... ciao!

Day 2

today was kinda fun... had a nice breakfast in the mornining, ate a lot... the group with the slow grandma took forever to finish eating and were 20 mins late... how awful. anyway, went to this temple in the morning, the smoke was awful, but it contained this statue of a Buddha that was made of pure gold and is 550kg... so guess it was quite impressive. there were these pple who take pix of u as u enter and print them on plates, gosh, they make things fast, and they'd just hound u to buy them. didn't in the end though. then we went to take a boat, cruise on the river, to see the floating market. it sucked... had like 4 or 5 sampans? what market? a shop maybe. but i still enjoyed it cuz i gotta see much of bangkok from the river, and see how pple lived next to the river, using its murky water to wash their dishes and bath just so to save water. its interesting tt in bangkok, the old and run down buildings are commonly found next to these huge and tall commercial buildings. looks kinda weird. then we reached this stretch where there were lots of *sacred* fishes, pple would throw bread into the water and hundreds of fairly large fishes would surface and consume the food. after the cruise was... yet another temple. i swear there are thousands of these in thailand. looked around, and got cheated by some snake wielders. they made us take pictures with the snakes, and then told us the price... but whatever, wasn't tt ex, and the snake was quite fun... :P

next stop as a leather factory... never knew they used stingray to make leather. and its damn good, it feels so hard and is so durable. and it is very unique looking too! bought a leather belt ( ha bree! :P )... quite cheap compared to in singapore. had another terribly filling lunch, was a buffet, then headed off for pattaya. stopped at this tiger zoo! its quite impressive. there are 30 000 crocs there, reared from an original 500 over 10 years... but then the grounds are so huge, not surprised they can rear so many. there are also many tigers, and they are fed with pig's milk from a sow directly, so they live in harmony with pigs!!! radical. then there were these huge camels, which u can feed, and they are damn greedy, stretching their long necks towards u and grabbing yr food, then there were these 2 fighting, biting each other. we then watched a pig show. a pig called barbie did math. any one can shout out a problem, and the ans, and numbers used are from 1 to 6, it can answer. but after 4 qns, i think it got tired and got eerything wrong... poorthing. the tiger show was typical, jumping fire loops, balancing, etc. chimpanzee show was cute, they walked a tight rope thing, rode bikes and did hvand stands... then croc show was just scary. the crocs were damn fierce... kept trying to bite the trainer at first... was damn scary, could tell the trainer was damn scared himself at first when he slipped cuz the mouth was quite nearby. then he did many amazed things, kissing crocs, sticking head in the open mouth... was exciting. in the end, everything went well. can't help feeling a little sad for these creatures though, seems like they are enslaved. sure, they are fed, so its like a job, but its more like forced slavery? maybe tt's y they are kinda fierce...

checked in at a not so good hotel... but whatever. dinner was great, fed us like pigs... the food here is so oily. had lobster, suckling pig, prawns and crabs! yummy! ate and ate... somehow, my appetite has increased many folds after coming here... went shopping after tt. first time here... the stuff here are as ex as in singapore, well at least those things tt interest me. the handicraft are quite nice, so i bought some too. but stuff like levis and nike, well, they cost as much or more, am disappointed. well nick, i got u something, but u are coming here too, y did i? ;)

after shopping, the highlight of the day... Alcazar! Its a cabaret show... twist is that all the 'women' featured are transversites. was an interesting experience. the music and dance weren't fantastic... dance wasn't very complex, and coordinated. singing wasn't live, but well, tt's understandable, i mean cracking of voices is not reversible... ;) they were all very prettier, prettier than your average gal i must say... and they somehow managed to have very shapely bodies. maybe the result of surgery? i dunno, but the show was good cuz of the spectacular display of costumes, colors, lights and sets... i especially liked the various cabaret sets cuz the costumes were just great. and then of course, the show sets u thinking... the patronage of the place is very great, does it mean tt rites for such pple are improving? i dun think so... applause was always lukewarm, and pple seem scared of them. the attendance is high probably cuz many pple are just interested in this, its something new. but i think there was this item tt probably encapsulated the whole issue. this person performing was half guy and half woman. so if u see the profile from the left side, u see a guy, and when the person turns the other side, u see a girl. and finally, the person turns to face u, u see both. i guess they are just like tt, and they chose to be female... i think they deserve respect. at least they dared to do what they believe in, even knowing tt it'd just subject them to bias, more than what i can say for many pple...

did i mention pattaya is a v sleazy place? haha... all along streets u can see slutty girls waiting to be picked up by guys at bars. and yeah, u do see many caucasians picking up girls... ;)

Day 3

Feeling so vulnerable now... its been a great day, but i just can't shake off the feeling. sucks... some off the songs i'm listening to dun really help... :( arghhh, maybe yh will know what i'm feeling? sighs... and lately there is this particular christmas song tt just makes me feel sad whenever i hear it... hope i get over this soon... and all this sudden talk of marriage is annoying. grandmotherS, tour leader, and even the saleswoman?!! wth... do i look like i'm ready?

anyway, great day. morning we took a boat to coral island. did parasailing, which lasted for such a short time, but it was fun while it lasted. then did this jet ski like thingie, drove really fast and got completely soaked. then went into the water and just sat there talking to these 2 other guys in my tour group... water is very clear there... greenish blue, quite nice, and sand is so fine. waves are gentle cuz the water is shallow, water is lukewarm, stark contrast to aus. its sad tt the tourism industry in thailand is in full force now, there are just so many boats in the water, the air stinks, and i think, soon the water will be so polluted. when we went to look at corals through the glass boat, the amt of corals was just dismal... thanks to the oil from the boats.

after lunch, went over to visit yet another temple... then a beautiful orchid garden. then, went to watch some cultural performance, was quite good, but the weather was just sweltering hot... was dying... :S next up was the elephant show!! it was really good, was quite impressed. they threw darts, rode bikes, painted (ok, doodled), blew trumpets, played drums, carried pple with their trunks, kicked soccer, bowled, basketball... many many things... was just great. and it was really amusing to see them bow after each item and run towards the audience and snatch any bananas in their hands from them and gobble them up... some pple gave up and just surrendered theirs... :P greedy elephants!!

next, went over to the largest gem gallery in the world... was quite impressive, except they lacked the mother of all gems... diamonds... strange. was very nice to see all the nice gems and find out their prices. plus, there was a very nice education ride, and its far better and more entertaining than those silly entertainment rides in sentosa.

dinner was great, dfed us like mad once again... then was shopping. tt was fun, bought more stuff today, wanted to buy even more, but ran out of time... well good to have an early nite? haha...

Day 4

wow... was aching all over before my lovely bath... terrible amount of bus rides... was so awful, back and arm aching badly cuz i was trying to sleep. this hotel is really quite good compared to all the others we were in before tt... nice lighting, and the hotel itself really looks nice inside. its the tallest building in thailand too... too bad i'm not staying near the top, or i'd get a really nice view, nvm, tmr's breakfast is near the top... :) am pleased...

today, i just confirmed tt i can't stand pple from china... gosh, they suck. forever so kiasu, must snatch for seats, food at buffets, then forever shoving other pple. and this morning i saw this person who took lots of eggs, like 8, then saw another type further down and just dumped everything back... really felt like slapping him. just glared, and he mumbled something abt the eggs not being cooked... whatever. oh well, i guess its this 'competitiveness' tt allows chinese pple to stay alive in this world where their physical stature is... puny. singaporeans are kinda like tt too, sadly... shall not bother elaborating all the things pple did today...

left pattaya in the morning - thank god, i dun like the hotel. went to Safiari Park... its so huge. my gosh... watched 3 shows, dolphin show, james bond and some stunt show. no prizes for guessing which one i liked the most. was so sad i didn't get chosen to kiss the dolphin, but after seeing tt whales and not dolphins kiss u, i wasn't so sad anymore. the other two shows were really good in their special stunts and all their amazing explosions and stuff, but the story was crappy, at least what i could make out cuz everything was in thai? haha... but had fun la.

lunch was in this insanely large restaurant. it was just slightly less than the size of a soccer field... gosh, stuff in thailand are just so huge. haha, then took the bus thru the safiari, it was ok, very large as usual, 400 hectares, but then it didn't look very natural, so not tt good... reached bangkok, and went to the snake farm. had some performance, and this guy came around with a snake in his hand and its fangs bared at us... hurhur... next, he held out its forked penis and expected us to touch it for luck?!! well, someone did... :S

anyway, stuff here are really cheap, cuz they are kinda pirated... bought some orignal stuff, and some pirated... think i still prefer the orignal stuff though... ;) oh, saw the colorful light-up pen yh has... its really great, me and my sis both bought one... :D

okie, after dinner, checked in hear and went shopping... more of tt tmr... ;)

its really fascinating to know that pple can see such different things after watching the very same thing. perharps its just tt everyone one of us is unique... :)

got a free ticket for ROTK, and since i agreed earlier on, decided to go watch it again... went an hour late cuz i realised claire was having cheerleading competition, so decided to watch and support her. well, think she did quite well considering how little practise she had. almost wasn't let into the movie, and had a hell of a time trying to find my seat in the dark. guard thot i was sneaking in from another movie... wth.

was as good the second time as the first i guess... expect tt the atmosphere wasn't there. there'd be phones going off and children wailing during some epic/emotional scences... got quite irritated. plus, the audience weren't cheering like when i watched the previous time, which made it all the more nicer... :) still remembered there were pple cheering at the beginning of the movie and someone shouted, "can't u wait till the end of the movie?" and pple laughed... ;)

anyway, this is what struck cm most, "i thought one of the points of the book was that no one can win against the power of the ring and to show the fallibility of ourselves (frodo as the protagonist, is crafted in the image of the reader) in the end frodo did accomplish his task partly because of himself (besides we must remember that he never wanted to bear the burden of the ring). he could have gotten rid of gollum so many times, killed him, etc. (if he had listened to sam) but his own mercy towards gollum proved vital in the end perhaps to tolkien, this act of mercy is more than enough to overshadow the failure of his strength and will. it's one of my favourite endings to any story tolkien wasnt afraid to end the heroic tale with a tinge of sadness"

anyway, i just thot it was very insightful... :) well, but i guess when i was watching the movie, the more human stuff struck me, scences like Sam carrying Frodo, or when Araggon kissed Arwen at the very end, and Frodo parting with his best friends for a foreign land. and, when Sam was getting married, how Frodo had this tinge of sadness within him... bittersweet? I can just imagine myself being the same in the future...

after the movie, left to meet sabrina to pass her photos. met claire and huishan by chance... huishan kept calling me kyle, but i didn't hear... haha... well, i was searching for a pressie! oops... ate, walked abt for a bit... then left for home. was raining, shouldn't have wore my pants, they were so long... and it was just so hard to walk in them... :P

it was damn funny at wisma. there was this security guard, acting like a traffic police, blowing his whistle to stop pple from walking, so tt pple in Isetan could walk out to the other lane so they can go towards taka. wah, it was so crowded, pple were moving like snails... :P at the train station, it was even worse... pple were getting squished, and someone almost got squashed by the door cuz he was forcing his way in. then, the pple in the cabin were screaming and telling the crowd to stop entering. and the best part was, there were also pple trying to alight, but those outside refused to let them go out... gosh... have so sense pple! if they go out, you'd have space to come in... whatever...

anyway, going thailand for a few days... take care pple... cya then! :) if anyone needs me to buy anything for them, just msg me or sth... :P study hard for chem exams if u need to ya? ;)

long day again... :p

woke up early and went to yh's house to play tennis... had to cab cuz i was late... haha, overslept... :S was really happy tt it wasn't raining, so the weather forecast was really great... :)

well, tennis wasn't tt bad though... well, me and yuan won our doubles 6-1! yay... back to the good old days... somehow, we are always partners... anyway, then came the singles... at first, chang was just making a hell lot of mistakes... then he switched his game plan, lobbing, pushing, slicing - junk balling to put it simply... yh's court has so little room, it was hard to get into position to hit anything... so my errors just piled up and i lost 3-6... it was really awful. and i dunno what the hell is wrong with my forehand now, it just refuses to work.

went home for lunch, cuz mum wasn't happy tt i'm always out... anyway, primary reason was to save money... ;) then, cabbed to suntec to meet nick b4 training cuz i was late AGAIN... geez, now i know where all the money goes lor...

haha, was trying to look for nice posters at Tower Records... and sadly, they suck, they are excatly the same ones as those in HMV, where i was searching for posters yesterday.. sighs... then tried to look for nice shoes, but somehow, i could find none, regardless the price... wasted trip... so we left and went for training... guess what, no surprise, was late too... haha...

training was bad... had to do real fencing, and since i hadn't fence in ages i sucked. my game kinda depends on my reflexes and i need to be in shape so i can do my stuff... well, since i hadn't come since sometime in nov, i couldn't fence probably... lost to nick, wasn't tt bad, was close and i made stupid mistakes... ahh well, then when the coach made me fence alvin, i was gonna run away... well, i proceeded to lose the first 9 pts... then fought back and won the next 4, but couldn't keep up and eventually lost. it wasn't tt bad now that i think of it... was getting back into shape in the end, could bind and attack again... hopefully it'd be better when comp rolls around... :p

anyway, am damn stressed cuz pple refuse to help out... and even turn up for trainings... the committee is fretting over what to do next year cuz we wun have enough pple to train the J1s... sucks...

had a nice long talk with zp after i showered... so sweet of him to call... :D yup, we'll go out one day and catch up and stuff... and hopefully, watch scary movie 3 together... ;)

oh yeah, am happy janet's gonna be touring next year after releasing her new album... hope i can somehow catch it... :D

and congrats to pple who did well in SATs... and try again if yr scores aren't up to yr expectations yeah?

finally put down the phone with nick... haha, we seemed like we were gonna lose all forms of communications or something, kept saying, wait, then start talking again when we were abt to say bye...

anyway, went out in the morning, watched Love Actually with yh... haha, not excatly the most appropriate company [;)]... but hey, friends can have love for each other too... :P was a nice heart warming story... esp at the end, the airport scene where there were just all these pple embracing in happiness... can't help but feel that love ACTUALLY is all around... :)

after that, met up with chang, went for lunch at Big O... god, it cost a bomb. $26 for not so good food... was not amused, wrote them bad comments in their feedback card. shall never patronize it again... pple, dun go there. so wanted to buy some accessories at the crumpler shop at wheelocks, and they have so many bags!! wow!!!! shall go there when i'm richer...

went walking around after lunch, hmv for posters - found shit... went borders and got nick a SATS book... stupid idea to get it so early cuz had to lug it round and boy, it was heavy. went to lucky plaza to look for shane doing cip, went too early. he started at 5, we went at 420... met him at the train station at 1030pm when i was going home...

ate all sorts of junk food and drinks today while in the movies, and everything was smuggled in cuz not from cinemas... haha... LOTR... it was fantastic. 5 stars... it just had these epic scenes that blow u away... i think it lived up to its expectations. i mean, what more can i say? watch it. yup... was thrilling throughout... and the ending was just touching, very warm. throughout the movie, you can feel the friendship, the bonds, the love, the trust between pple that pulls them through... that was just great. like when sam turned back to help frodo, and even carried him up the volcano... and there are other scences... just watch it yourself... :P

the thing about this is that its a pretty childish story, in the sense that everthing is either good or bad. so u kill the orges without ever feeling any pity. which isn't such a bad thing considering how much is killed in the movie... ;) and with these stories, there is plenty of pure innocent friendships, love and trust... :D

anyway, heard this on the radio while on the way home... pretty amusing stuff... in LOTR,

hmmm, busy life resuming. had to wake up early to accompany nick to school so that he may try to appeal for a change in S Paper from Physics to Bio. yup, reached school at about 10, waited for him to try to contact VP, but then too many PAE pple trying to appeal, so ended up having to leave his contact number and just waiting for the call.

everytime the phone rang, there would be this huge anticipation. i'd be so nervous, waiting with bated breath. haha... after leaving the number, while on the way to orchand cuz nick needed to buy clothes, the phone rang on the bus, and the VP asked if he really wanted to change. then he said he'd contact nick's tutor and get back by the end of the day :)

so we happily went shopping... i applied for a Heeren discount card, damn good!! 8% off at flash and splash, 10% at levis!!! and also discount at marche, sakae, adidas and lots of other shops... yeah man, and it only cost me $15? haha... good deal, helped nick to save $8 already cuz his clothes were about $100... he bought 2 long sleeve t shirts, not bad since i helped to choose too... haha... :) anyway, anyone who wants discount can look for me, i dun mind lending u e card... :D

yeah, and after that, went over to paragon for lunch. showed nick the super ex phone which has a shop of its own, the phone's called Verta or Verto... whatever, the $20 000 luxury phone... madness... went to spageddis for lunch... yum... had something for $20, but it came with soup, desert and coffee, so was quite worth it since everything tasted nice. was then late for my fencing meeting, so had to cab back...

discussed some important things, and then we decided to carry out our cheapo plan to draw stuff on our mugs to hide the fact they were 1999 leftovers. hey, the treasury is broke... :( not, my fault ah, no one wants to play... *glares*... haha, gladys and fiona couldn't draw for nuts, so in the end, the 2 guys there drew everything, peiyi and me *can* draw... and quite nicely too... ;)

then went for training, wah, never train for so long, so everything is like creaky and old... :S felt so old... was sucky... haha, was so tired at the end of the day. hmmm, during training, learnt from nick some interesting things i did last time i didn't really know... hmmm, you better not say... *stare*... haha... took a lift home from him. oh yeah, before training, nick got another phone call, was excited, but it was from matthew, not VP... then when i was training with the coach, nick just sat there and looked at me... looked like he was posing, then suddenly he broke out with this grin... the VP called and gave him his appeal to change S Paper. so dumb, it had to be when i wasn't around... couldn't share in the initial excitment, but we were still happy... :D congrats!!

okie, am looking forward to watching LOTR tmr!! :D

and yeah, i guess i do miss melbourne as well, all 6 of us do... well, think it was really a memorable trip... hope we stay as friends forever... :)

haha, have so much to blog, feel like skipping the last day in Aus, but better do it in case i wanna read it in the future... :P

so after the nite at the motel, tried to wake up early, i did in the end at 7am, but then took forever to get ready, so we left at 9am... went up to the race course on a nice hill, and saw the golf course too... the place is quite pretty cuz they are on nice hills and its quiet and stuff. was nice to see jockeys/trainers riding their horses round where we walked too! :)

back in melbourne, met bree, peiying and wp in the city, and bree and peiying wanted to shop for half an hour more before we go have lunch, so we obliged though i didn't have much more $$ left to spend... :(

went to lygon street for lunch, didn't have much time. was trying to look for emu or kangaroo meat for nick... but it was like 1.45pm already n we still hadn't found anything for him. had to rush back to college at 2.30pm for the coach to the airport. so we had to settle for this nice looking restaurant... i ordered marlin meat with oysters (!!), and some really nice desert... wah, cost me a fortune. but i had to have a really nice meal cuz it was the last there. nick had fried lamb brains, dun see why cm is so disgusted... it really tasted good! :D

then i had to finish my food so fast... wah lao, main course plus desert in 10mins, and had 5 mins to get back. had to cab... and once again, i flagged a cab from the opposite side of the street... yeah, am good... :P

then it was time to say good bye. was damn sad... last time walking through the grounds i spent 16 days on... :( yeah... hugged some of my group members before leaving... and could tell they were sad too... :p checked in at the airport, and the plane ride was okie... better than the one here... plane was newer, had many nice movies, watched bad boys 2, and played some games. looked at photos on my laptop... it sucked tt as i was watching my boss's daughter, i started feeling a little airsick, so i had to stop. 2nd unsuccessful time watching it, wth! haha...

after landing, had hell packing... gave up and talked for like a few hours on the phone instead... haha... anyway, enough of those stuff, let's talk abt today!! :D

am glad to be back in singapore. stuff here is so much cheaper. the food is affordable, the clothes too! woah, so happy with the clothes man... :D was walking around orchard being damn happy... and the shops close so much later! yay! :D

bought my alicia keyes cd... its damn good, please get it if u can! :D then met up with cm and yuan and got my hammer 6 rackets... so ex, but at least got free balls and bag! :D went over to yh's house after that, but it was raining... so looked at the photos i took from aus, which some of them found boring... :'( well, some scenery doesn't hurt ya know!!! yeah, and played monopoly! was happy with the result, yh second and me first! :D yay!! actually owned the whole brown and blue stretch, orange, green and purple at the end of the game. that is how good?! yh had the red... haha... bankrupting yuan was the key, he gave me the pieces i needed to complete my sets... :D thanks... nice game...

ok, so tennis followed, shit man the ground was wet and it was terrible at first... then it got better, racket was ok... played quite similarly to my previous one... didn't have top adjust that much except for the fact it was smaller...

then had a late dinner, almost everything was closed cuz it was 10? haha... after dinner went yh's house again to wait for my dad... had many nice short talks with him today... fun. :)

and the weather in singapore sucks. keep raining, and its freaking humid lor. in aus, it could be hot cuz of radiation from sun but cold at the same time cuz of wind... :S but the air is drier and it helps cuz its not as hot... and terrible...

anyway, mama is oat crazy...!! :S

yay, am back home... home sweet home, its actually like 4am Aussie time, so i'm amazed i can still stay awake... :P

firstly. am glad to have my keyboard back, beats having some stupid laptop keyboard... but my wireless mouse still isn't really working, sucks...

let's see, where do i start... okie, let's start with Sunday!

we split into 2 groups, Peiying, Bree and wp went with the hc pple to the Great Ocean Road thing... I wanted to see the scenery, but was relucatant to go cuz it was a nine hour bus ride in all... i'd just die... haha, so Nick, Claire and i arranged for our own trip, which took really interesting turns... ;)

in the morning, we went the Royal Botanical Gardens... such a far cry from ours man. If u see the pictures, you'll totally understand. spent 2 hours there, was really great... :) after that, walked to the nearby Rod Laver Areana and Vodafone Areana! That was like a great moment, except now i know that the Australian Open is the ugliest of the 3 slams. the grounds are just not as grand as the one in New York, as beautiful as the one in Paris or as historic as the one in London. it just seems plain? but still, was happy just going there.

went to town to look for details for the trip for the rest of the day. planned to go to yarra valley cuz it looked like it was very scenic, we planned to go by boat, ends up there is some waterfall obstructing the way, and the only is by coach, which required earlier bookings. so we decided to go to kilmore which looked very good too, and we just rushed into things, deciding to stay overnite there... :O went down to the V Line Station, which is a train and coach operator and bought coach tickets, it was so cheap, only $8.50. its damn cheap considering a ride on the tram, one way, costs $1.80 each time. The salesperson was so unhelpful... :rolleyes:

after that, we went to Bridge Road so nick and i could go to Jay Jay's... decided to go there cuz the stuff there are cheap and look pretty nice. cheap here is used here in a relative way, as in cheap compared to all the other clothes we see around in aus. here, a surf T-shirt would cost u at least $40aus... that is like $60 here in singapore? so at $25, it was cheap. had a really hard time deciding what to buy cuz i had a feeling i bought one of the shirts the other day. turns out i almost bought the same shirt again. phew... thank goodness i decided to but something else. but nick, haha, he bought the same shirt that i bought the other day. awww... more clothing thare the same as mine... so sad rite? ;)

rushed back to pack for our trip to kilmore after shopping... took a little too long to pack. the coach leaves at 630pm, and we elft at 6pm... so that left us with half an hour top get to the station. we took a tram to the city and had to switch. unfortunately, we took the 2nd tram in the wrong direction. thank goodness i wasn't feeling lazy that day and went to ask the driver if we were going the rite way. had 5 mins left to get to the coach. i flagged a cab at the opposite side of the road, amazingly, the cab came... i asked, "is it possible to get there in 5mins?" the driver was like, of course, its just a few streets away, we'd be there in 2. yeah, it took about 2mins, and $6 too. we stopped at the ticket station, but the stupid coach was miles away. took us some 7mins to walk there, and we really just got on. damn lucky... the coach was just about pulling away. man, its a once in the lifetime thing i hope... :P

so we left, the scenery looked nice and everything, and it was our first self arranged backpacking kinda trip. before that, i already rang up a few accomodations, and settled on one that was $70 for a nite called, Kilmore Country Motel. well, we were quite apprehensive after hearing the name, but we weren't rich. when we riched kilmore, we were just dumped on the road. we had no maps, nothing, and we were supposed to find this motel. and there wasn't like anyone walking round on the streets, pple just drive here and there!! whatever... so we just walked along, looking at the signs and found it after sometime. at first glance, its looked just like the motel we saw in Identity (a horror show)... and i was telling claire and she was freaked. haha... when we entered the rooms, we had such a huge shock!!! the rooms actually looked great... better than our hostel. there was a tv(!!), toaster, electric kettle, ermmm, frigde, nice blankets... ok, basically, it looked more like a hotel than a motel. we were delighted! :)

went to buy cheap pizza from Pinkie's for dinner. was really yummy, but really, there was so much food and we just couldn't finish it. god... just felt like pig after the whole meal... :P nick and i then tried to go sightseeing in the nite, but haha, bad idea, it was so dark and creepy, we just couldn't tell where we were going. and the map was almost blown away... can u imagine?! we'd just be stranded somewhere we dun even know... :S

yups, so we went back and showered and watched tv... they had really interesting shows on, so it was cool. then they kept having these newsflashes to tell us sadam was caught. somehow, that one they caught didn't look like the real one... hmmm, and one can only wonder where they could the DNA they tested from...

the 3 of us shared a room, but it was fine cuz claire had the single bed to herself while nick and i shared the queen sized bed. speaking of sleeping, am quite tired now, its almost 5am! ;) yup, shall blog abt the rest of the stuff another day... bye!

yay! done... i know how to fix it now... i've got to number each post with a different number... :D

anyway, today was a great day, the last day of the programme, think i'll miss the place and the fun we had. and i really love the company... :)

after a late morning wake up -as usual- cuz of the late nite we had playing com... :P in the morning, we had free time to prepare for our presentation later on in the day. but i just slept cuz was still damn tired. after lunch was the presentation which went so-so cuz i didn't really prepare a brilliant speech cuz biodiversity is such a freaking large topic and i've no idea where to even start from... :P but at least i did a good enought job, didn't stutter... :)

we also spent lots of time preparing for our item, *Rain Dance*... we then had a combined presentation where the best speaker from each group presented to all of us... the speakers were good and engaging and presented on a wide range of topics...

then came the formal dinner! had to dress up again... stupid pants was so damn loose and i didn't have a belt, so had no choice but to use safety pins to make the pants tighter... yes so desperate. haha, but that was to prevent the shirt from coming out so easily. but after the tie and the suit came on, i thot it looked pretty good. helped nick with his too and lent him a nice matching tie... :) then helped him with his hair too, thought it looked pretty good in the end... :D wondered if he liked it though...

dinner was just great... the food was yummy, spent the last few moments with my group and was sitting with them. was glad to have alicia and terrence as company too... :) Mr Nobel Prize winner went on stage to give a speech again, this time, it was quite funny and i was amused. yup yup, after dinner, it was time for certificate presentations! had a nice speech summarising our feelings and sentiments, and i think i'll remember this in a long while. cultural items were great, and ours didn't screw up, was a little nervous cuz was rite in the middle and in front too. thank goodness claire was good... great partner. thanks. :)

the little party after that was quite a failure. they played music u can't dance to, and what, there was too few pple to really have the rite atmosphere. so we left and took lots of pictures in the balcony. haha... we were damn high, doing all sorts of stupid things. :P

anyway, have some thoughts of the different pple i have here, just wanna say thanks for the fun and entertainment all of you have provided. really appreciated it. :)

claire: i know u didn't really enjoy the trip at times, sorry, its kinda my fault... but i hope u still managed to have enough fun so that it was worth your time. hope u stay happy always, thanks for being here... :)

sabrina: yeah, thought u are damn funny, just the way you behave, and the way you love to say *awww...* will always remember that... :P you are also very real... thanks for the chocs! ;)

peiying: hey mama!! you provided much delight to me and wanping... damn funny... hope u didn't mind our jokes. thanks for the food and whatever other things u always bring and i always take. you really are great to have around, always have everything... :)

having free time again, should really be preparing for our cultural item, but then we really have no idea what to do... i mean, we are in singapore, what kinda culture is there? kiasu culture? some hc person even wanted to do PCK... god, i'd rather just drop dead then face the embarrassment... :(

haha, ends up we are gonna do rain dance plus sing "Home" and dunno what else... we are sooo pathetic.. :$

yesterday was a slacky day. in the morning had 2 lectures, these 2 were, really good! one was by a physicists who talked lots about neutrons and their uses, i'm pretty impressed now. he is part of the team that invented some interesting bomb detector that accurately detect bombs. currently, bomb detectors attempt to detect the wiring and batteries in bombs, not very good cuz those can be easily concealed. this new method, works on the principle that 90% of explosives contain an unusally high amount of nitrogen, so it bombards the object with neutrons, and N15 is unstable and releases gamma rays of a certain wavelength that can be accurately measured everytime. and it can determine really small amounts of such nitrogen, hence is able to accurately detect bombs. cool huh? :P

next, was the staffies lecture! its a lecture by our wonderful and sweet mentors! :D they were great, must have been the most amusing lecture ever! :) they made ice cream for us in front of us, using lots and lots of liquid nitrogen... :P then, we had interesting demos of how angular momentum is very strong. its really long to try to describe the experiments, so just take my word for it being fun... ;) hmmm, then had demonstrations of how liquid nitrogen can shatter plants, and then one mentor poured it onto his hand and everyone squealed cuz we thot his hand was gonna shatter too! but he told us that cuz his hand is warm, so when the nitrogen first comes into contact with his hand, it evaporates and forms a cushion of air, insulating his hand, so it doesn't freeze and shatter. smart. then there are a few more experiments and they were cool...

after lunch, had free time to do our project, was rushing so nick and i could play com at nite... :)

then had a talk by this Nobel Prize Winner... you can just tell he is quite smart. unfortunately, i think he caught me sleeping for a second and wasn't too happy. cuz at the end of the lect, he went like, "I think i shall end now since some of u are sleeping" while looking in my direction... oops. haha, after dinner, more project and then we played sim city! :) played till so late, but was damn tired, so i just fell asleep quite promptly at 2am... had a nice sleep... :P

anyway, claire, dun worry abt pimple face... she is gross. i feel like puking after finding out that she likes me... :S its not flattering. well, at least better than Ms *I'm fat and i like to bare it all for u to see*... ;)

blah, got silver for Biolody Olympiad... :(

didn't blog last night... was too busy... ;)

haha... yesterday was quite an interesting... it started off with us doing our project, didn't do mine, was helping nick with his... didn't even start on mine. was chatting with sengteck, and he was in australia too! after that had a video which i slept thru cause i was just too tired... but in short it was just trying to tell us not to just believe everything we see, such as documentaries.

after that, we went to the zoology department for a rather intriuging presentation on Australian native animals which can't be found anywhere else... :) then was the zoo visit. during lunch, was really funny, peiying refused to believe that we were walking to the zoo, she was just in shock. then the mentor went up to make an announcement specially to prove to her. even then she didn't believe until we started walking. damn hilarious. btw, she has been our *mama*... and u can just put any adjective in front of it, like annoying, fat, sore (when she lost and was being sore), hot, etc... u get e idea... ;)

the zoo was not really nice, plus it was flies heaven. bleah... saw many interesting animals, kangaroo, kaolas, wombats, platypus, frogs, snakes and cassowaries. yups, but other than that, was just a pretty normal zoo.

had to dress up for the threatre later on. it was We Will Rock You by dunno who... was a Queen inspired musical as u can tell from the title... its an international play, so the music was good. the plot itself was quite sucky, but the music was good which is what a musical is about rite? :P anyway came out of the play with lotsa thots, which is what a good play does to pple, it sets u thinking... the thing was mainly about the whole internet culture thing. what i didn't like about the play was the whole pro rock thing. i'm more into RnB and Hip Hop, so yeah, wasn't too intrigued. and the fact that all rockers just go into this frenzy and craze when they are united against pop music, is sort of similar to the craze pple have over pop music. its just the same thing, the same frenzy, pple are just drawn into it the same way, just perharps with a slightly different emotion. so what right does one class of music have to insist that they are superior over another one? bleah whatever... dun like rock. and just for your info, RnB has been the best selling music since 1996 Worldwide, overtaking Country in 1996... :P So dunno where pop or rock comes in... :P

haha, came back and was trying to chat online, in the end didn't really suceed, ended up chatting to nick till 3am... at least we both enjoyed it though it kinda started off a little rockily... ;)

anyway, am glad u are feeling better, prefer it when u smile... :) and thanks for yr last blog entry, let me understand lots of things...

damn, having money woes, it just sucks... the amount i spent and the amount i have left just doesn't seem to tally at all! :( and it just sucks that i'm running out of cash and have to convert cash... bleah... :(

haha, woke up late again today... haha, was chatting with yh till like 3am last nite... haha, miss talking to pple... :P

anyway, today was really great! in the morning, got to visit WEHI, its a very high tech and huge medical research center... the pple there were also quite cool, seriously, this camp is an eye opener, strengthening my dream to be a researcher everyday... :) got to look at many expensive equipment i've never ever heard of or seen before. yeah, and this place where they had hundreds of rats being researched... haha...

after lunch, we went to this place called Bridge Road. was a shopping area that wasn't in town that sold lotsa cheap stuff. bought 2 pairs of pants, one for $20 and another for $40... quite cheap!! :D also bought pressies for huishan there... ;) nick and i were just like fast shopping, quickly going into shops, and coming out, buying real fast. love shopping with him when i'm in a rush and need to buy many things... :D

yups, next stop was town... been there so many times already... can walk to the different areas so easily. first, went with nick to buy a pressie for his dad, a book! after that, went to a surf shop to buy daryl's and zp's pressies. bought slippers for myself as well... its v nice... :) even the girls agreed and that is... rare. haha... then bought yuan's pressie... haha, he's gonna be wrecking his brains after seeing it... :P nick bought a pressie for his bro, and another for his sis after that. so we were sort of done shopping... i still had to look for something for my mum, so i went all over, trying to look for it... found the skirt that wanping bought yesterday for a cheaper price. oops, dun think she was too happy. think i spent a lot this trip, really terrible... :(

after dinner at a chinese restaurant, yes, we finally had chinese food, believe it or not... :P it wasn't tt good, and certainly wasn't filling, hurhur... :P

went to queen victoria market after that... they sell lots and lots of interesting things... its so much more interesting then city shops, totally cool. nick and i bought nice little stones for ourselves, and nick got his scorpion shell that he loves... :) then i bought a present for my mum and grandma... god, everything cost so much!!! :S okie, lastly, bought a necklace thing for myself, sad that not everyone thought it to be nice... nick and wanping were my only ardent fans... hehe... :D

oh and today, sabrina was talking about the top she bought, and i asked if it looked nice. then she said, "better then what victoria is wearing for formal dinner!" and guess who turned around soon after? victoria... haha... and just in case u dunno, victoria is this really fat and ermmm... well, unpopular girl among us anyway...

sighs, wish the hc pple would just zip, they are making claire so unhappy... damn it.

today was such a tiring day, once again... :P was so tired in the morning, got woken up in the middle of a dream... that sucks.. but slept quite well thru e nite... had to rush thru breakfast as usual. yups, had lectures after that, they were boring... abt IT? wth... well, at least the next one on bioethics was far more interesting. we even got to broke up into groups to discuss certain issues... haha, was having vehement arguements with some pple over the issues cuz we just couldn't agree on stuff... :P

after lunch was lab, was pretty good! did genetics... got to observe Drosophila! haha, had to gas them with carbon dioxide before they fly away... haha, then when u are looking at them with a stereoscope, they'd still be twitching!!! and to kill them after u are done, u throw them into ethanol, how cruel is tt? haha, all in the name of science... :P

also did gel electrophoresis, was quite easy since i've done tt before... had a nice chat with the lab person to find out more about the research they do and stuff like tt... :) think i wun mind a job as a researcher in the future! :)

played tennis after dinner, was quite fun, esp trying to teach nick how to play... :D after that, we went to run cuz nick was trying to lose weight. haha... we raced 100m, and i won, not too hard... ;) :P but then, i drank like 2 glasses of milk and couldn't really run, so i just gave up and he jogged on his own... yups, am now resting... :P

anyway, am pretty pissed with some hc pple, they have such f*cking huge mouths.

hello... its been a really tiring day... *yawns*

woke up so late today, was almost late, had to rush like mad to get breakfast... :$ all thanks to the late nite chat session i had with yuan, cm, yh, claire and weixin... haha, hadn't chat in ages, was quite fun and worth it to stay up so late... :)

was shagged the next day... konked out during optometry lecture... but from the bits i heard, it was quite good... was about the eye and colors, like why colors exist, how they help us see things, segement things. we also got a sense of how color blind pple view the same images... its truly sad, they totally miss out on a certain wavelengths of light, and that affects everything they see. and the sad thing is they learn those supposed colors from young anyway...

the second lecture was something on genetic diseases... was about menke's disease. this speaker was boring i must say... but the contents of his lecture was interesting. understood how a single gene could cause a whole lot seemingly unrelated symptons... :P

after lunch, was our pract!! was so fun, gotta do eye dissection! :) we had to remove all the fats and muscles round the eye, which was extremely sticky, kept sticking to our gloves, haha... then after that, had to cut open the eye carefully, so that the liquid doesn't spurt out. thankfully i had good hands, so the eye was nicely cut... the vitreous humor was a nice jelly state, so the eye was from a young animal! :) after we removed the lens, i squished it while playing with it... oops! :$ then, my partner decided it was fun to squash the vitreous humour, and i decided to make a patty out the muscles and fats. was really funny... :P

the next pract was less interesting, but we got to see many pple's eyes and test vision and stuff, was still very engaging... :) how i wish practs back home were this fun! :D

free time after that was spent playing comp with nick... :P

after dinner was a visit to some science center thingie... was quite interesting... there were many exhibits, and i've got many pictures of them... an interesting one was this house where they simulate an earthquake. u stand in the house and press a button and it starts shaking like mad... :P haha, but in general its the pretty stuff, think our science center is comparable. was pretty sure the sports section there, i've seen it somewhere before.

oh, must complain about this stupid china mama... wah lao, she was critisizing me to me! wth... stupid girl... *rolleyes*

and today, tom, the camp coordinator insisted we try to make 3 new friends... well, think i made 2. johnson and ratti... and i did try to talk to more pple i dunno... haha... :)

its just scary, rite now, my mood swings are just going crazy... one minute i could be quite high, but then the next, i hit the pits. dunno y e hell this is happening, but it just sucks like shit. been like that the whole day... damn. but i guess its just cuz so many things are happening now, and i'm just thinking lots about many things... and i've just no one to talk to right now... sighs... :(

anyway, let's talk about happier things... :) had a great time at the ranch, and yeah, v v happy tt i've internet access in my room now... haha, tt means free SMSes! haha... :)

yeah, we had this v nice ferry ride to the coastal area that the ranch was on on friday, the view was really great, shall show u guys pix when i get them. and the wind blowing through our hair was really great though the wind was freezing cold.. haha... but it was worth it staying out there cuz the view was just beautiful...

then we reached the ranch. the first thing that hit me was how beautiful it was. the view was great, everything i'd imagined since i was a child, rolling hills, dipping valleys with clear skies in the backgroud, little buildings around and many animals just roaming around. guess i didn't really like the flies and horse manure lying around everywhere, but at that time, i was too awe struck to let such little things bother me. the scenery was just so beautiful we just dashed up the hills and went as high and far as we could, taking in everything around us. yups, took many pictures, was pretty... in fact, we stayed there till the sunset, and boy was it beautiful. never seen a more beautiful sunset, but i still think a sunset at the sea is the most beautiful one.

the night was spent at a camp fire which was really really cold, it was just freezing. was quite fun singing songs and huddling with friends to keep away the cold, but we smelled really sooty after that... had a really late night that day cuz was trying to star gaze, but the clouds just kept coming back, waited and waited, finally gave up. bah...

next day, we got to horse ride! :D that was really fun... my horse was so silly, it bit another girl's thigh, *ouch*... and bit her horse too... i asked the trainer and apparently, those 2 horses hate each other. yeah, was really fun, the horses go along this route, and the few of us that started off at the end just kept changing positions cuz we were trying to overtake each other... :P and it was really amusing to see how the horses were so greedy, some of them kept trying to stop the eat the grass growing at the sides of trail.

after horse riding, we went to the beach. summer just kicked in, so its still quite cold, and the beach was just cold. but well, still jumped into the water, which was just freezing. it was far worse than any swimming pool i've went to in Singapore, haha... well, am amazed i didn't just drop dead. it was fun sort of surfing with the waves... they are really huge, not like the ones u find in Singapore which are so tiny due to the stupid break waters around... haha. and yeah, there is far less litter and pollution, ships, so its very much more scenic. and the sand finer too... :P lied on the hot sand to gain some warmth after my swim, felt so good... :) in the end, buried myself in the sand and took many pictures! :P haha... oh, the girls tried to make a butt so that the figure was volumptous, but then, in the end, they put it at the wrong place, and decided to convert it to breasts instead... *rolleyes* so i had breasts growing out of my back... and they weren't even of the same size!!! :P

then we went to the mushroom reef, which was very nice, had many organisms there, collected many pretty seashells. but i still think that the reefs in singapore have a far larger diversity of organisms... we returned, and the nite was spent playing cards and looking at stars. this time, the sky was clear, so we could see everything quite clearly. it was a pity that the moon was so bright, so it made things less clear... :P went to sleep really early cuz nick and i wanted to see the sun rise here... we reckoned it'd be pretty since the sunset was so nice... so we woke up at 430am, or rather, i woke him up at 430am... spent 1.5 hours watching the sun slowly rise. meanwhile, many thoughts ran through my head, guess i'm glad i wasn't watching alone... :) took many pictures, seeing the skyline slowly change from dark to yellow, then to blue. and the spot of red in the sky turn pinkish, then orange, then yellow... that was the sun... :P anyway, after this, i'm very very sure that i like sunsets better, have all ways liked them better anyway... :)

okie, the rest of the day was spent doing archery and this big swing thing. haha, that was really fun, they use a rope to tug u up real high, then release u, so its like a swing. it goes real fast, damn exhilarating... wanted to let go at first, but then it was so fast, its just too hard to force myself to. in the end, was so silly, ended up going upside down, then went overboard, and did a flip... was hurting... somewhere... but thankfully i managed to flip myself back again... ;) but yeah, was really fun nonetheless... :)

yeah, then took a bus back, and we are back here again... yups, hope i'd be better soon, and hope everything back in singapore is fine... am glad most pple did quite well for SATS... :)

I've gotta make this quick... cuz i'm supposed to be doing something else... writing some online diary thing, but i guess this is the same rite? :P anyway, i've gave up waiting for my internet connection anytime soon, cuz i'll probably get it only over the weekend.. :( we are going to a ranch sometime in the afternoon, get to do horse riding, flying foxes and lots of other fun stuff.. yay! :D haha, anyway, will only be back on sunday, when, hopefully, the internet connection will finally be in order... :) haha...

will upload some interesting photos when i actually get my net connection... :) can look forward to seeing pictures of nick sleeping, damn funny and the pretty girls in their dresses and stuff... ;) yawns, am sleepy, still gotta pack later... this morning was so funny, locked my keys in, smartest thing in the world to do. had to spend so much time opening the door, peiying was trying to pick the door for me, kinda silly... hurhur...

oh yeah, gotta tell u abt the silly guys staying on the same floor at us. the other day, wp was bathing in the toilet, and then these other guys were also using the toilet. then they were saying silly things like, its 3 guys and a girl... and shouting across the toilet, 'i wanna shoot my gun' and, 'i've got a gun, how long is yrs?'... wp was freaked out... haha... so the other day, we had an extra banana, and wanted to play a prank on them, so we wrote, 'here's yr gun, you left in the toilet'... haha, but we decided the banana was too large, and took it out of the toilet after a while since they hadn't seen it yet... :P then yesterday, it was also quite dumb, me and nick were in the toilet, and they were talking again... and this person bath in the cubicle next to me went, "the water is so cold"... and the next thing u knew, he was screaming, ouch, my ass, so hot!!" and i was just sniggering away... :P then, this is the smartest part... 'motherf*cker, i didn't know there's a glass door, banged my head into it'... like, where r yr brains man? the girls were like listening outside to their conversation, they are so entertaining... and then, they walked past our rooms, and had this really strange conversation, and this guy went 'i've got no hole to f*ck'... then, the other day, we saw this huge doughnut structure, and we were all grinning, wanted to take picture for him... :P

hmmm, dunno when i'll net connection... it sucks to not have access to the net... well, shall just save my entries on the com first till i've access...

am in the hostel now, woke up quite early, slept like 3 hours, its 8am here, or 5 am in Singapore... nick is still sleeping like a log next to me though i tried to wake him up... *rolleyes* sometimes, i wish i were not such a light sleeper, i dunno how many times i woke up, when the sun rose at 5am aus time, yes 5am!!, i woke up, and i dunno how many other times too... geez...

well, guess we are going shopping today, wp and claire are so totally obessessed with it... not that i mind actually cuz i've got stuff to buy for pple...

oh yeah, the flight yesterday was... disgusting, for me at least. i dun like planes, the smell and the feeling of taking one. i felt like puking a few hours into the flight, and had no appetite for quite sometime, it was just utter discomfort. the feeling of naseau took many hours to subside as well. hmmm, glad the other 3 enjoyed their flight though, was playing hangman when i was actually feeling well, and it was quite amusing that me and nick were pondering over words on our screens but when we glanced over, we almost always knew the answer instantly... nick was then playing a whole array of other games while claire and wp were watching many movies... :P

thank goodness my phone works here, or we'd be so dead, after reaching the airport, it was quite amusing cause there were these little dogs going around sniffing at the luggage trying to detect the food items. then, we had to got through declarations, and i stupidly followed the rest to declare my medicine which they couldn't be bothered to find - instead they tried to look for the food that didn't exist... whatever... haha... oh, the phone thing was cause we couldn't really find claire cause she was way faster in exiting than us for some reason, and well, the airport is quite huge... :S

we were greeted by friendly pple from the college and brought there quite promptly... :) the campus is v nice, esp at night, it looked like one of those old buildings which i read about since young, in Enid Blyton books? ;) the place is very scenic, there's always a light breeze blowing across the campus, and the trees grow nicely around, haha... was so happy... :P

so we got our keys, and rooms. someone from hc apparently stole nick's room, so i was left stranded alone on the ground floor, while the rest were on the next floor... :( but then, wp moved our of her v large room cuz she wanted to bunk in with claire, so that left a v large room, like 2-3 times larger to either mine or nick's empty. of course me and nick assumed ownership and moved in... :P oh yeah, and this is the most hilarious thing... at first there was no excess key to my room, so i didn't get a key!!! so i asked, how do i get into my room if i locked it? the answer: dun lock. i was like shocked, and the guy said that not to worry, that it was safe etc... haha, rite, laptop, digi cam, phone, cash... hmmm... well, anyway, then another person came, and gave me a key, told me to be careful cuz it was a special key. uh.. bad move, u gave yrself away... that key was a master key, and i could open every door in the dorm! haha, it was so convenient to get anywhere now... hahaha!!

oh yeah, the toilets are shared... and i mean shared between both sexes... kinda weird cuz am not used to it... well, at least my level is all guys. nick was feeling weird to have girls using the toilet on his... oh yeah, somehow i played sim city cuz i was sick of all my strategy, and nick was interested! haha, played till so late, but my com hung and we stopped. stupid way to end cause i couldn't save it... sighs...

finally, it doesn't cost any extra for any of you to sms/call me... but it does for me to sms or call u guys... sucks huh? :P kk, gotta have breakfast now... bye! :P

yay, feel more rested this morning than the last... slept about 8 hours... :)
am blogging now cause nick is still fast asleep, he can't seem to get anough sleep!! last nite, i went out for a minute, and he was fast asleep already, haha, no more insomnia nick! :P

anyway, yesterday (30112003) was quite a fun day... we went shopping by ourselves! after breakfast, a quite good one, we set off for Lygon Street. we were like 4 pple who didn't know the place just following directions to get to a place... we needed to buy groceries and food, so we had to find the supermarket. after 20mins of guessing, we finally reached the destination. this time, we were walking amidst a very very strong breeze... ;) on our way, we passed many interesting shops, oh and the different blocks of the university campus - its really huge. haha... took forever just to walk through it. we bought some food, and left... then there was this book offer where i bought 2 books for my dad! they were quite cheap cuz they were on sale! :)

we decided to return cuz some of the food was frozen, besides most shops weren't open till 12. this time we took half the time to go back cuz we were smart! took many shortcuts! :P yups, apparently nick was v tired, he collapsed onto the floor while i was putting stuff into the fridge! :S

we then set off for the city, haha, amazing we could find our way round... :P ok, once we were there, then wp and claire split with nick and xq... dun, will wanna look at different things rite? :P oh, first stop was this v interestig game shop, it sold like every type of board game i ever knew, and didn't know! did u know they had warcraft board games??! haha, but everything was so ex, so... :(

next, we went into this super larger departmental store, called Myers. We just kept going up, higher and higher, cuz it seemed every storey was for females, for 5 storeys - large ones too! then level 6 was for kids and 7 was for toys... so we were left wondering where the male section was... anyway, we saw J Lo's brand of clothing!! nick was such a pest, refused to go look at them with me! :@ anyway, we exited the building, and guess what, there was another block named Myers. and, the whole section was men's stuff... until level 5 where it was electronics and stuff. well, not like we could really afford much, everything there was like upwards of $80? even print tees... :( well, at least the electronics stuff was cheaper... :P but it was still fun looking at the stuff there...

well, then we went to the next mall we saw, called Melbourne Central i think. went into this gift shop which had many interesting stuff, bought something which i think i'll give to yuan... haha, we'll see.. then had lunch there cuz nick looked like he was gonna die if we walked anymore, so lousy!! had some italian focaccia for lunch, was quite nice... nick's one... haha, was so dry he was having so much trouble chewing it. i had to go down a few streets to seven eleven to buy a slurpee for him cuz drinks in tt shop was so ex! haha, at least he seemed to appreciate it...

okie, next few hours was just wondering round and round cuz everywhere sold stuff that was just too ex. surf shops here sell the same stuff as singapore, except the singapore dollar becomes aus dollars??! how dumb.. and some are even more ex than in sing.. so not worth it. bah... sorry zp... :S anyway, next, went to hmv where i got my special edition TLC Greatest Hit CD! Ok, its special cuz its australian version which comes with the DVD... haha. But i dunno why i bought it since of the 19 tracks, i've 17 and i had all the vids in the DVD... guess i'm a devoted fan... ;) but its really good, get it if u have the $$... :P

after that, we went back to Myers cuz nick wanted to get kingdom hearts fo himself... like he'll have time to play it anyway... :P

haha, oh yeah, forgot to tell u the absurd request my mum had... *rolleyes* Just buy three shirts for your sister. Rite, and what, be stranded here for the next 14 days without any cash??! i decided that my sister needed to be more feminine, so i enlisted the help of claire, and got her a denim skirt and some pretty top, she had better wear it! its my highest expense today!

we then took the tram back, its really interesting this tram... its very fast and comes v often! is pollution free, doesn't depend on traffic, hmmm, really nice. but its also v costly, $2! :( haha... whatever...

nick and i just played sim city the whole nite after we were back... its quite good, we've like got a nice large city already... but were dead tired... ok, shall try to wake him now.. bye! :P

yet another early morning... its really freezing here, is it summer or winter?! u dun need air-con here, just open the window and u freeze yr ass off... :( yesterday was really bad, was really, really cold.

was quite an eventful day yesterday!! the program started... haha... in the morning, we went shopping again before the programme, but wasn't really in the mood to shop, so was just walking round. the things here are so ex anyway... :( well well, skipped lunch, and became hungry the rest of the day... :S haha... we registered and had the shortest tour of the school... hmmm... it lasted like half an hour and we didn't leave the college campus to enter the university one... well, guess we'll get to do that the rest of the day. then we had the next 3 hours off... played bridge and hearts. at first when bridging, my hands were... impeccable! i won games by myself, haha... then it ran out... :$ haha, but hearts was more competitive. at first peiying had 50+ points while i had 13 points. somehow, in 3 rounds, i had taken the lead with 60+ points cuz she shot the moon and i got saboed... ;) anyway, i had double nick's pts at tt point in time... :$ but somehow, i managed to stay in there... and eventually win! *gasp* ;) haha, had 6 pts less than sabrina and 7 points less than nick... :P during that time, i ate no less than 3 packets of potato chips as well as lots of buscits! well, i skipped lunch... :P

well, then we went for dinner in the college. it was the most sumptous dinner i had in melbourne. better than tt microwaved stuff i had the day before for sure. there was bread, rice, beef, yummy pasta!! and veges. then had this chocolate cake for desert. they were sooo decieving. at first when i was there, i thought the wine bottles had wine in them... they turned out to be water. haha...

had some night activities after that. we were slipped into groups of 8, had none of the other rjc students in my group... awww... but my group was pretty good anyway. 2.5 other singaporeans, 2 malaysians, 2.5 aussies. haha, the .5 is cuz one singaporean is now staying in australia to study - cuz she didn't wanna study chinese... haha! well, they were friendly and cordial pple... :) we played many games, first was the knotting game, which we untangled our human knot with ease. then was the hand thumping game, where one thump of the floor means u pass e tap on, and 2 means u change direction. i'm sure u all played it before... :P anyway, i sorta won it... there was some other hc guy and me left, with 2 hands each, so we called it a tie... haha... the others all died already! okie, some other games we played, but too hard to describe here... but had fun... gotta meet some new pple. the next game was really hilarious. its this game *Honey, do u love me?* so what u do is that there is a pointer u spin, and it'll point to a certain person sitting in the ring. there is one person in the center, and he'll have to go up to the one which the pointer is pointing to and then ask the subject - Honey, do u love me? If u do, please give me a smile. then that person has to reply, *honey, i love u, but i just can't smile* If the subject smiles, awww, he/she will have to take the center... haha, it was really hard not to laugh sometimes, cuz some pple were just so funny! :P anyway, the first time i got pointed to, i smiled, supposedly... and i had to take the center... :( it was quite funny, this girl suddenly sat on my lap and start saying those stuff... oh then there was this indian girl who was sashaying and proclaiming, "I'm no good at these mushy mushy stuff"... well, but she sure was good at flirting... hurhur... well, we had to swap groups and stuff cuz we were playing in fairly large groups of 30+. anyway, in the end i got called upon 10 times in all... haha, but i got better each time and i was stoned face in the end, quite cruel... there was this guy who started rubbing my legs... *cringes* but i rejected and he look quite annoyed... haha!! then this girl, who was so slutty... she crawled up to me started ruffling my hair, and she looked positively distraut after that... oops... :P

after a long day, went to play sim city for some time, then went to bed... nICE DAY... :)
yups yup, its happening again... i'm sure U know what i'm talking about rite? ;)

hmmm, its late... its almost 1 am now... sorry nick, for keeping u up... :S talked to him for more than 2 hours i think...had lots to say... poured out lots of things from my heart... haha... always deeply satisfying after such conversations. but but but... i've not really finished talking abt stuff, so its gonna be kinda weird now cuz there is no proper closure to things... :P anyway, something we talked about was how things changed... said he was spending more time on the phone, going out more often... hmmm, i dunno if its the same for me... am afraid of drifting further and further away from some of my friends... :(

yups, its raining now, gonna be yet another freezing nite... boohoo. will probably be getting my internet access tmr, so i can actually upload all this stuff, but i wonder if anyone is even gonna read. someone probably will... :)

anyway, the day was such a long one... had to attend 3 lectures today. physics, chemistry and organic chemistry... and some briefing. honestly, the speakers were brilliant, they were highly engaging and interesting, except for the chemistry one. the whole problem was that for physics and chemistry, i had learnt most of the stuff before, almost all in fact, so it became boring and i fell asleep. plus, i was super tired. the experiments they showed were just great... making laura's hair stand on end, concentrating infra-red rays onto a stick to light it, mixing chemicals to produce fluorescent mixture... etc...

was happy to then just have a rest before the formal dinner. then me and nick took showers and dressed up... i'm sure u can see from the pix... which i'll upload soon. nick took his dad's ties... and they were quite bad, so i lent him mine... haha... those are nicer... :P after the lovely dinner... very very very tasty, we took many pix, as can be seen. yups, the dinner was salad, then this fried half chicken with some buttery sauce in the chicken, which gave me a real surprise when i cut open the chicken cause it just oozed out nicely. then there was great desert too! :) was fun being with my group, though none of the pple there were pple i knew... shall post a pix of them too! :P then, terence, this hc guy concluded i was mixed blood, and this malaysian told me her friend things i look like this guy in the korean show called 'Lan Se Lian Ai' or something like that la... highly amusing... :P

well, then we went to lygon street to eat gelantino! yumm! :P haha, actually, the whole purpose was so we got to interact with more pple... :) well, i sure got to... had strange pple who came up to me to ask me things like, "Are u Clark?" then was "Is your name Carl"... well, my name here is Kyle... the interesting thing is that the person who asked if i was Clark told me some girl had a crush on me... and then, he apparently made a mistake, and said it was Carl the girl liked... then finally, someone asked me for my name... and they got it rite at last... haha.. was highly amusing anyway. well, kinda have an idea who it is... i dunno, not feeling ego about it or even too happy... dun really wanna hurt anyone again...

i'm being highly sloppy here missed out lots of things i wanted to say, but its late and i still gotta sleep... :P sorry nick once again for keeping u up, know u r SUPER tired... :P miss u guys back in singapore... msg me leh! ;)
